I slept late yesterday night. Instead of getting a good night sleep for Sentosa Idol. I received a phone call from someone about 11pm. He said that the song I picked *Sempurna – Nicholas Teo* couldn’t be converted into the karaoke version. *She promised me that she;ll make it done … My mind went blank, thinking that how can I find a song with a karaoke version in such a short period ? In the end, I found a simple song, struggling to memorize and sing before I really fall asleep about 1.30 am.
Woke up once my phone alarm rang. Wore my normal shirt and put on foundation and eye liner. Got the dress ready to change in school. Sprayed my favorite perfume that my dad bought, and calmed myself as I wore my high heels, walking to Block G. The morning is so quiet that I found it peaceful, I took my time practicing again in the badminton court, as well as with Chun Yew in the waiting room.
Instead of ranking the 5th contestant, I was ranked the 4th because one of the contestant was absent. I thought I was quite confident but, I don’t know what happened, was it because I could not see my friends *I didn’t wear my glasses nor contact lenses, or was it just a sudden panic attack? I didn’t sing according to the tempo of the song, out of timing, and was given a second chance. However, it still didn’t turn out well, although I got some confidence thought out the end, at least I finish the song thats what I said to myself. After the singing, I apologized to the audience for my awful performance.
As I waked down the stage … My spirit began to fade away, slowly, holding back my tears until my friends started to comfort me. I admire the other contestant’s confidence and singing skills, they are all really good.
Well, the whole day just passed me through leaving me an unforgettable experience. When I reached home, hiding in the bathroom thinking, Oh my god, What have I done??
